Hengelpermit Regulasie Bloemhofdam – Vrystaat Oewers

Ek verwys graag na die aanbied van alle kompetisies en hengel by Bloemhofdam – Vrystaat Oewers.

Na aanleiding van die lynbesoedeling wat bestaan by die  Bloemhofdam – Vrystaat Oewers (Sloep en Sandveld), het die Vrystaat DESTEA die besluit geneem dat daar op die kompetisie permitte wat uitgereik gaan word vanaf 1 Januarie 2022 ‘n bepaling tov die vislyn se diktes sal bevat. Die Vrystaat DESTEA beampte het my inkennis gestel van die besluit ten einde te verseker dat ons lede vroegtydig gewaarsku word.

Volgens die gesprek met die beampte sal die bepaling hierdie of soortgelyke bewoording bevat:

Geen hengelaar sal toegelaat word om met vislyn wat dunner is as 0.25mm te hengel by die oewer soos aangedui op hierdie permit. Oortreding van die regulasie sal tot onmiddellike verlating van die oewer lei. Die organiseerders van hierdie kompetisie is verantwoordelik vir die monitering van die regulasie deur die lyn se dikte te meet met die nodige meet instrument.

SAVOF onderneem om hierdie besluit wat geneem is deur die Departement te respekteer en dus sal alle kompetisies wat aangebied word by die Bloemhofdam – Vrystaat Oewers (Sloep en Sandveld) deur SAVOF, Provinsies, Klubs, Elite Series en Pro Mania vanaf 1 Januarie 2022 gehoor gee aan die lyndikte beperking.

Die SAVOF Dagbestuur versoek dus die Voorsitters en President van al die verskillende organisasies in SAVOF om hierdie boodskap oor te dra aan organiseerders en gashere aangesien daar vroeg in 2022 kompetisies en kampioenskappe by die Sloep gaan plaasvind.

Die SAVOF Dagbestuur versoek al die hengelaars om asb saam te werk met hierdie regulasie sodat ons die beskerming, voortbestaan en hengelbaarheid van ons natuurlike bronne kan verseker.

Mr Des van Jaarsveld

Des van Jaarsveld was born in ___________________ on 27 th May 1939. He is married to Sally. Des achieved Free State A-team Colours on 13 occasions, from 1966-1979 and he also achieved his Free State
Shore Angling Colours in 1976 & 1977.
Des achieved Springbok Colours during 1981, 1983 & 1987.
As an angler Des were crowed Free State Champion for 2 years in succession.

As administrator, Des served on the Free State Provincial Council for 36 years over the period 1972 to 2008. He served as Publicity Officer, Competition Secretary, Provincial Secretary, Convener of the Selection Committee, President of Free State Angling Union.

Des served on the SAFBAF National Council for 34 years over the period 1980 to 2014 as administrator on SAFBAF
Management level. He served as Convener of National Selection Committee, Secretary, Vice President and
President.

Mr Fred Visagie

Fred Visagie was born in Johannesburg on 26 February 1945. Fred passed away during 2011. He was married to
Anna.

As administrator, Fred served on the Western Transvaal Angling Union Council as secretary for 4years, Chairman
for 9years and Patron for 2years. Fred also served on the Central North West Provincial Council as Vice President
and selector for 5years.

Fred served on the South-African Sport Anglers & Casting Confederation National Council as Treasurer for 4years and Vice President for 4years.

Fred served on the SAFBAF National Council for 13 years over the period 1998 to 2011 as administrator on SAFBAF Management level. He served as Convenor of Junior Section, Secretary and National Selector.

Mr Johann van Heerden

Johann van Heerden was born in Durban on the 28 th August 1948. He is married to Christie.
Johann achieved Western Transvaal and then Central Northwest A-team Colours on 34 occasions, from 1973-2005 and he also Central Northwest B-team Colours on 2 Occasions in Freshwater Angling. Johann also achieved Central Northwest A Carp Angling team (2006 – 2012) & Masters A-team Colours (1999-2019).
Johann participated in excess of 86 National Championships while representing provincial teams.

Johan achieved Springbok Colours for Freshwater Bank Angling during 1986, 1988 & 1989. Johann also achieved Protea Colours for Carp Angling during 2008 to 2011 and 2019.
As the Protea Carp Angling Team Captain, the team were crowed as World Champions during 2008 to 2011 and 2019.

As administrator, Johann served on the Western Transvaal and then Central Northwest Provincial Council for 37 years over the period 1975 to 2012. He served in various positions which ended as Chairman of the Province.

Johann serves on the SAFBAF National Council over the period 1989 to the current year (2020) as administrator on SAFBAF Management level. He served as Conservation Officer, Vice President, Convener of National Selection Committee and President.

Mr GP Nel

GP Nel was born in Bloemfontein on the 25 th March 1966. He is married to Riana.
GP achieved Free State Colours on ____ occasions, from 19___-20__ in Freshwater Angling. GP also achieved Free State A Carp Angling team (2006 – 2018). While representing Free State during National Senior Championships, GP was crowned as SA Individual Champion for _____ years as well as follow-up Victor Ludorum for ____years.

GP achieved Protea Colours for Freshwater Bank Angling during 19__ to 20____. GP also achieved Protea Colours for Carp Angling during 2008 to 2011 and 2018 & 2019. GP was an angler in the Protea Carp Angling Team which were crowed as World Champions during 2008 to 2011 and 2019.
GP as Protea Carp Angler were crowed as World Individual Champion during 2008, 2010 and 2019.
